I think it does suffer a bit from stag and hen parities, particularly in the summer, and August is probably not a good time to go. Try spring or Autumn. Don't miss Van Gogh. I've also read US and couldn't quite believe the coincidences, we're also travelling with a (nearly) 17 year old boy. And yes, I've also been thinking about what happened to that poor girl - so much. Now in Italy. Will post again on Friday… from the local cafe! Love E xI don't know how she doesn't do it.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13312052135625767005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1252107056342148696.post-2378623199814541962015-08-17T02:21:42.638-07:002015-08-17T02:21:42.638-07:00Really enjoyable post especially as I'm curren...Really enjoyable post especially as I'm currently reading "Us" and by coincidence, I'm at the part where the family are exploring Amsterdam. I've never been to the city and have often wondered if I should, but after hearing that it's a bit grubby, sleazy and full of stag parties I'm not sure. But on the other hand there's the culture and history to marvel at and remind ourselves that 70 years ago the ability to move freely and not live in fear of discovery was happening in our neighbouring countries. Happy travelling and looking forward to your next post!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
